The food at Brasas is absolutely delicious. The portions are very big. What they called dinner for two my wife and I had enough leftovers for the next night. Can't go wrong with whatever you choose

Very friendly nice bbq aroma I got the mixed Picadinho which is cubed pork shrimp an chourico with rice with black beans and roasted potatoes w/peppers onion. It was so good I almost cried. My wife got chicken Picadinho which shen loved also. Left filled with leftovers. Oh yea Real BBQ too was stacks of lump hardwood charcoal on way to men's room lol we're def going back

Place was really good The owner/ manager ( didn't know ) very friendly and nice The food was hot and fresh Made to order. Service was fast Got pretty busy Inside was simple Few tables and chairs Music playing. Ordered chicken fingers and sweet potatoes fries Rack of ribs Two sides ( rice amc sweet potatoes) No pic Trust me it was really good Definitely be goin back too. Absolutely delicious. Best potatoes. Huge portions of rice too. My only complaint is they're not to nice to a particular gender & feel they can charge us more so I send someone else to pick up.

First time eating here. We're new to the area and couldn't find Portuguese bbq anywhere, bc we would get it weekly in Newark when we lived that way. This place is awesome and the only place in the area. Straight gas, I'll be here 2-3 times a week, and it's relatively inexpensive. Awesome customer service.

I was very impressed with the food and staff. I find food lacks flavor in the area I live. This places is a true gem. Flavorful, authentic a must try. I talked to the owner a super nice guy! Next time I want to try the garlic shrimp and chicken. The sauce that comes with the ribs is super yummy!

Being Portuguese I was super excited to find Brasas so close to where I was staying! I don't know if there was inside dining prior to Covid but right now it seems that it is primarily take out. The minute I walked in my mouth started watering from all the deliciousness. We ordered a whole chicken with rice and spanish potatoes (resemble chips). The portions were very generous and it was piping hot! Right when I took my first bite I was transported back to my childhood. The chicken was cooked perfectly and super juicy. The sauce has just the right about of kick to it. Sides were spot on as well. I just wish they had Sumol de Ananas!!! Seriously though, Brasas is a 10/10 for me.

Brasas is definitely the best BBQ joint in town. Their food is just delicious. As a cook, I could never make their food myself. They BBQ everything in cages over a real charcoal grill. Their sides are all good, and you have a choice of two. This is Toms River, so it's very nice to have an offbeat restaurant here and not just a pizza place. It's just not the Ironbound or real barbecue in Kansas, so I have nothing to compare it to. I know I dislike pizza outside of New Jersey. It's best to choose either the ribs or the chicken dinner. That's what they make the best. The sides I like are the saffron rice, black beans, and broccoli & carrots. Please see my video under the pictures. It didn't show up under my review.
